Full Journal pdf2000-04-14 House Journal Page 3142 HB 368 The following, which had been held in third reading from the April 13, 2000, calendar (page 3117), was again before the House: 2000-04-14 House Journal Page 3143 HB 368 CS FOR HOUSE BILL NO. 368(JUD) "An Act relating to release of persons before trial and before sentencing or service of sentence; relating to when service of sentence shall begin; relating to custodians of persons released, to security posted on behalf of persons released, and to the offense of violation of conditions of release; and amending Rule 41(f), Alaska Rules of Criminal Procedure." Representative Murkowski moved and asked unanimous consent that CSHB 368(JUD) be returned to second reading for the specific purpose of considering Amendment No. 2. There being no objection, it was so ordered. Amendment No. 2 was offered by Representatives Murkowski, Kerttula, Kott, and Croft: Page 5, line 7: Delete "for the release of a person" Insert "under a performance bond" Page 5, lines 11 - 13 , following "pledged": Delete all material. Insert new paragraphs to read: "(1) under an appearance bond if the person fails to appear before a court or judicial officer as required as a condition of the appearance bond; or (2) under a performance bond if the person violates a condition of the performance bond, other than one described in (a) of this section." Representative Murkowski moved and asked unanimous consent that Amendment No. 2 be adopted. There being no objection, it was so ordered. The question being: "Shall CSHB 368(JUD) am pass the House?" Representative Green moved and asked unanimous consent that the roll call on the passage of the bill be considered the roll call on the court rule change. There being no objection, it was so ordered. Representative Croft gave notice of reconsideration of his vote on CSHB 368(JUD) am.
